Land Rover is bringing about 65,00 vehicles back in to deal with a door latch issue.
Certain 2013 to 2016 Range Rover and 2014 to 2016 Range Rover Sport models are affected by the issue, which can lead to the doors opening inadvertently while the vehicle is in motion. The root of the problem is a software glitch inside the keyless entry system according to Land Rover, which began investigating the problem last October.
Owners will be notified by mail, after which they can bring their vehicle into a dealer who will updated the keyless entry software for free. The recall is expected to begin on August 7.
