The 2014 Range Rover Sport was unveiled today at the 2013 New York Auto Show, sporting a sexy new look and some serious weight loss.
While the standard Range Rover lost 700 lbs compared to the last generation model, the smaller sportier Range Rover Sport managed to shave off 800 lbs thanks in part to a new aluminum chassis.
For power, a 340-hp supercharged six-cylinder engine is now offered on base Range Rover Sport models, while the familiar 510-hp supercharged eight cylinder is still available on top trim. EPA estimates are still unavailable, but expect the new Range to improve thanks to stop/start technology and the massive weight loss.

A new third row has been added to the Range Rover Sport as well, though the wheelbase is only two inches longer overall.

The Range Rover Sport starts at $63,495 including delivery for the SE trim level, while the top trim Autobiography model rings in at $93,295.
