As Land Rover has already released its Range Rover Sport, photos coming today from the Nurburgring showing the Range Rover Sport testing suggest that this could be an even more powerful “RS” version of the SUV.
The most significant change pictured here are two large air intakes in the bumper, assumedly to provide additional cooling for the more powerful engine. Currently, the most powerful Range Rover Sport uses a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 good for 510 hp.
That same engine is fitted into the Jaguar XFR-S, where it makes 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque, so expecting a more powerful version isn’t unreasonable.

If this in a RS version, beefier brakes, special wheels and a stiffer, lower suspension can be expected, although none are visible in the photos.
