Land Rover’s latest and greatest Range Rover Sport will debut in prototype form at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and details on the SUV are slowly trickling out.
First, we found out that this version of the Range Rover Sport will wear an SVR badge, and now we know that it will have a 550-hp supercharged V8 under its hood. This will be the fastest, most dynamic Range Rover Sport yet thanks to extensive testing at the Nurburgring.
Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations Division started with the Range Rover Sport SVR, which will be the first vehicle to come from the company’s new performance-tuning arm. It will also be the first vehicle to wear the SVR badge, but Jaguar Land Rover says that all future special operations vehicles will sport the moniker.
