A decision on the fate of the Range Rover Evoque convertible is imminent, and Land Rover’s brand director, John Edwards, hopes it gets the green light.
Reports earlier this year had many believe that the Range Rover Evoque convertible was unlikely to make it to production, but Edwards stated that the reaction to the model has been “pretty positive in the markets we might sell it in, in volume.” The automaker still believes that the Evoque convertible is a strong opportunity and is very close to making a decision on whether or not to produce it.

Edwards would like the project to be green lit, but is aware that Range Rover must ensure that the math works on producing the model. According to Edwards, feedback on the Evoque convertible has been about 80-percent positive in North American and European markets.
