Thanks to the addition of a nine-speed transmission, the 2014 Range Rover Evoque will get an estimated 21 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.

That’s a single mile-per-gallon improvement over the previous city rating and a two-mpg bump on the highway. The 2014 Range Rover Evoque starts at $41,995 including destination and comes equipped with a 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 240 hp as standard.

Other changes made by the British automaker for the 2014 model year include standard Active Driveline system with active differentials, active torque biasing and torque vectoring. Safety equipment added includes Park Exit, Closing Vehicle Sensing and a new adaptive cruise control system with Queue Assist, Forward Alert and Intelligent Emergency Braking.

Minor changes were made to the exterior styling of the 2014 Evoque while Land Rover now offers a stop-start system, which was previously unavailable on the automatic variant.
